Sam & Cyle | Tacoma Waterfront Titlow Beach Engagement | Gig Harbor / Tacoma Wedding Photographer
When Sam inquired about her wedding I got so excited! Okay, I get excited about every wedding inquiry, but not only is it a Friday (weekday weddings are just the best) but it's at a venue I've been wanting to shoot at! After chatting a bit, I knew she was my kind of bride. She wrote the sweetest emails and was just so honest about what she wanted and what she was looking for, and I love that! A part of one email said, "You sound so perfect! I spent HOURS (I was up until 4am) reading horror stories of brides who hated all their pictures. I’ve probably contacted close to 50 photographers and you’re the first I’ve written back. I really do appreciate your personal response instead of an automated one!" Guys. I don't know if it's the pregnancy hormones or just me - but this totally made me tear up. I absolutely love when people just start talking to me like we've been friends forever already, and that's the way I talk to my clients. It's so much easier for me to capture personalities and relationships when we've got that sort of connection. We sealed the deal and started planning their engagement session right away! It rained, and I mean rained hard, on our first planned date, so we waited a couple weeks and then just went for it. It wasn't the sunniest or warmest day, but you can't expect much in February in Washington. The sun played with us so we switched locations last minute, but who really cares about weather when you're this freaking cute? I mean look at them. I cannot wait for their wedding this August!!!
